So I was asking the other day about how much Congressmen make legitimately from their congressperson jobs. The answer is there salary, plus personnel expenses, and expenses were not what I actually thought they would be, they were in fact, lower.
But somehow, that just wasn't sitting right with me.
So let's look at good old Boehner.
Boehner makes 224K a year. Pretending (hahahahaha) he works a 2000 hour year, the guy get's $112 per hour. Not bad.
Then I got to thinking, okay, but what does he REALLY make. The answer was actually very simple to find out. John Boehner makes, at least from the 2014 election cycle to be in office now: (are you ready?) $7,611 per hour.
$7,611 per hour is what a politician in this country is making. And that is IF they work at the job they are being paid for, for 2000 hours per year.
Now, I could do this for each one, but I am actually curious if anyone reads this.
